We would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and blood cancer patients everywhere for your support and sponsorship through our Black-Tie campaign. We also want to share updates and changes we’re making to our fundraising programs here at LLS.
While we were able to pivot and adapt to engage in a virtual environment this past year, we took learning from our experiences and the ability to optimize opportunities, evolve, and adapt. We also took a closer look to ensure we support the LLS lifesaving mission and expand our reach and create a more diversified LLS community to the best of our ability. Considering this, we made the challenging decision to transition our Black-Tie event, to third-party volunteer-run events – this became effective starting July 1, 2021.
We are beyond thankful to all of LLS’s volunteers who choose to participate and support LLS’s mission, as either a leader/participant in one of LLS’s future portfolios of campaigns, or as the leader of a third-party event with LLS as the beneficiary. However, we wanted to make sure we shared that LLS campaign resources and local staff support will be focusing on Man & Woman of the Year; Students of the Year; Light The Night; and Big Climb as we look forward.
Our goal at LLS is to find cures and support blood cancer patients and their families. As our organization evolves, and so does the world around us, we must continue to adapt so we can reach our goal: to cure cancers.
We are so thankful to all our sponsors; each of you has inspired us with your commitment, dedication, and grit to continue to make a real impact for patients throughout this tumultuous year. You helped to save lives.

Until A Cure,
